The mission of SynCat is to support an interdisciplinary network of academic and industrial researchers by training the next generation of scientists, developing new technologies and fostering collaborative research that is impactful in an industrial setting.
Our Approach
We aim to provide complimentary research infrastructure that supports the Department of Chemistry’s blossoming HTE efforts. SynCat’s dedicated staff will provide the necessary training to students and postdocs while ensuring procedural knowledge is retained and easily transferred to new generations of researchers. By working directly with industrial partners, students and postdocs will have the opportunity to pursue research that is impactful and valuable to our industrial collaborators.
Consortium Development
A major component of SynCat is the creation of an industrial consortium, centered here in the Department of Chemistry at UW-Madison. The primary goal is to promote scientific engagement between University researchers and member companies. The consortium will support the development of breakthrough technologies and expedite the translation of cutting-edge academic research into industry labs. Check back later for updates on the status of the SynCat consortium.
